Gwent began its life as a mini-game inside of Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but it soon after became a card game title in its own right. Now, the same game is out on Google Play after already being available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and iOS. So far, it managed to collect some awesome reviews so it has an average rating of 4.8 based on more than 61,000 reviews.
From the moment that CD PROJEKT began its development, its intention was to blend the TCG and CCG game genres into a single title. In the game, which utilizes a relatively straightforward concept of a card battler, the players choose one of the heroes from the same universe, including Geralt, Yennefer and other famous names. From there, they build and employ their cards as armies against their opponents.
Similar to Hearthstone, Gwent is a cross-platform title. This means that anyone playing will be set up against opponents from any and all previously listed platforms. A great benefit of that approach is the fact that the Android version of Gwent won't have to build its own audience (even though, with more than half a million downloads so far, it could have easily managed the same).
If you like card games, you shouldn't miss out on this one if you haven't tried it out already. Download and try GWENT: The Witcher Card Game on Google Play for free!
