Ghosts 'n Goblins might be more than 34 years old, but for the game development industry, it's one of the seminal platformer titles that was ever made. This is also one of the main reasons why this game still has an active fan community of dedicated players. Weapons Glacier YouTube channel and his creator recently made a video that will definitely make some positive ripples in the same community.
The clip showcases a 1 Life Clear (meaning no death occurred) speedrun (I’m guessing you can call this a speedrun session) of the Italian bootleg. This is a harder version of the of Ghosts'n Goblins and it was played on the highest difficulty setting. The gameplay session took place on April 13th, 2019 and you can see this legendary game getting played from start to finish in 29 minutes. It's not important to state what level of skill was needed for this, especially in the non-tool-assisted environment.
I love the fact that the retro gaming community is not just alive, but willing to get, like Weapons Glacier (awesome channel name, btw) insanely focused on just one game. For me, this shows that incredible passion and this channel is brimming with love for Ghosts'n Goblins. I hope this video gets some traction not just with the game’s fans, but also the entire retro community. Weapons Glacier more than deserves it!
