If you’re a platformer fan and an Android gamer, you’re probably biting your nails in anticipation of this news! Yes, Dead Cells, the roguelike-Metroidvania who's creator was inspired by nothing less than The Binding of Isaac is heading to mobile.
Dead Cells is coming to Android in 2019
This is basically what we know - the game will appear on iOS first and then head to Google Play. The iSO should get the game in the summer months, so the Android one can be either fall or early winter. In any case, the launch for both is set for 2019. Playdigious is the company bringing this game to mobile and they recently had a lot of success with the Cultist Simulator port.
Also, it’s known that the iOS version will feature controller support and its price is set at $9.99. The title will include no microtransactions or free-to-play elements - instead, it will be sold as a premium game through and through. Chances are that the Android version will follow the same blueprint. I have to say that the controller option is a smart move - with the Dead Cells level of complexity and speed of gameplay, playing with a physical device seems a much better option than a touch screen.
